DuckDuckGo Vs Google: More than 4 Million Queries on January 7, 2014

DuckDuckGo had the biggest day ever on January 7, 2014 with more than 4 million queries. The privacy-focused search engine served over 1bn searches in 2013, reports the Guardian.

The DuckDuckGo search engine does not monitor users and is now up to four million queries per day.

DuckDuckGo sets itself apart from the more popular search engines like Google by making all searches performed on its site private, not tracking searches or collecting IP addresses.

I just discovered DuckDuckGo and I love it. I am so excited to use it and I love that it doesn’t track users and doesn’t bombard you with ads. I hope it always stays that way.
